Biography

Mengying Zhang has a multidisciplinary background with bachelor's degrees in nursing and finance. She completed her undergraduate studies and became a registered nurse in China in 2018. Subsequently, she gained an MSc in Advanced Nursing Practice from the University of Edinburgh in 2019, and is currently pursuing a PhD program at the same institution, expected to finish in December 2024. From 2020 to 2024, she published five peer-reviewed journal papers and took on a research assistant role in various projects, including the Nurses’ Experiences Accessing Research Evidence Practice in Ghana (NEAR Ghana) project and the VRUnwind project at the University of Manchester. Her research interests primarily focus on the development and evaluation of digital interventions aimed at improving the quality of life in the public health sector. At King's College London, she works as a research assistant on the COLLATE project, which aims to conduct a mixed-method systematic review and co-design methods, theories, and tools for creating an online toolkit for researchers in the digital health field. She is also open to supervising PhD candidates in co-designing online toolkits and non-digital health interventions.
