Mengyuan Li is an Assistant Professor in the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Southern California. His research focuses on uncovering and defending hardware vulnerabilities within systems, emphasizing security concerns related to cloud systems, CPUs, GPUs, and AI. Li's expertise includes the co-design of software and hardware for secure and efficient devices, addressing modern challenges such as side-channel attacks, confidential computing, and trusted execution environments. He applies techniques from program analysis and reverse engineering to enhance security architectures in CPU and GPU systems.
