Biography

Meredith Grelli is an Associate Teaching Professor of Entrepreneurship at Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business and serves as the Director of Project Olympus at the Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship. Grelli is also the Assistant Dean for Entrepreneurship Initiatives and has experience as an Entrepreneur in Residence at the same center. She has been awarded the 2023 Gerald Leland Bach Teaching Award, an honor voted on by MBA students. Grelli is the founder of the Family Business Initiative at Carnegie Mellon, which connects family business owners across various industries and geographies. Additionally, she has founded and led craft beverage companies, including Wigle Whiskey and Threadbare Cider & Mead, and was a two-time James Beard Semi-Finalist for Outstanding Wine, Spirits, and Beer Professional. Her efforts have significantly impacted Pennsylvania's spirits industry, where she helped restore the state's whiskey production legacy. Grelli holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Urban History from the University of Chicago and an MBA from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
