Dr. Mert Cetin

Biography

Mert Cetin is an Assistant Professor in Operations Management at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Rotterdam. He holds a Ph.D. in Operations Management and a Master’s degree in Research Management from IESE Business School, University of Navarra, Spain. His research primarily focuses on retail operations, with an emphasis on how retailers adapt to the omnichannel environment. His interests include the design of physical store networks, assortment planning, and return management. Additionally, he investigates behavioral operations management issues, such as the impact of LGBTQ+ inclusive signage—specifically using rainbow stickers—on customer server selection.
