Biography

Mervin Daub had a successful career of over 30 years as an academic economist at the Smith School of Business. He published six books and over 60 articles on various subjects including economic forecasting, business, sports, history, and energy matters. Daub was a member of the Canadian Economic Association and the American Economic Association, among others. He also served the Government of Canada as a Senior Policy Analyst and was involved with the Ontario Energy Board, chairing rate case hearings. Currently retired and holding the title of Emeritus Professor at Queen's University, Daub has contributed to boards such as the Kingston General Hospital and the Board of Trustees of Queen's University. His awards include the Padre Laverty Award and the Distinguished Service Award for contributions to Queen's University. He is recognized as a player and builder in the Queen's Football Hall of Fame.
