Biography

Mette Morsing is the Director of the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment and Professor of Business Sustainability at the University of Oxford. She joins the Saïd Business School as Interim Dean. At the Smith School, she led a team of scholars committed to achieving Net Zero and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through interdisciplinary, international impactful teaching and research. Mette serves on numerous councils and advisory boards worldwide, including in the USA, Europe, Asia, China, and the UK. She previously served at the United Nations in New York, leading the Principles for Responsible Management Education, which is the UN’s largest initiative aimed at transforming leadership education for 800 universities and business schools in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Her research has garnered international awards and recognition, establishing her as an invited author, researcher, and speaker globally. Mette has published extensively in some of the world’s most highly regarded academic journals on business sustainability and co-edited the textbook 'Corporate Sustainability: Managing Responsible Business in a Globalised World'.
