Biography

Mhairi Campbell is a Research Associate in the Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment (HEHTA) research group. Her current role is UKRI funded Policy Modelling Health (HealthMod) lead, where she synthesizes evidence to quantify the health impacts of economic determinants of health such as wealth, debt, and employment status to inform policy simulation models. Mhairi has broad experience in conducting complex systematic reviews and has led reviews examining topics like participatory budgeting and qualitative evidence for policy interventions. Currently, she is conducting systematic reviews that explore economic determinants of health. Mhairi also contributes to developing methodological guidance aimed at improving evidence synthesis practices, having led the development, administration, and analysis of Delphi consultations. Her contributions include guidelines for reporting on population health policy interventions, guidelines for systematic review meta-analysis, and adapting complex population health interventions.
