Biography

Dr. Mi Lim received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Texas A&M University and completed her postdoctoral training at Texas A&M Health Science Center. Dr. Lim has been a full-time faculty member at Texas A&M University since 2013. Her excellence in teaching was recognized with several awards, including the College of Arts and Sciences Faculty Excellence Award in 2024 and the Provost Academic Professional Track Faculty Teaching Excellence Award in 2021. She actively enhances student learning through the development and implementation of active learning tools in both lecture and laboratory classes. Dr. Lim has taught a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses including Quantitative Analysis, Physical Chemistry, and General Chemistry. She is passionate about community science education and provides mentorship at various levels. As Co-Director of Outreach, she organizes science events for local schools, promoting science education through hands-on activities and demonstrations. Dr. Lim's research interests include gas-phase molecular spectroscopy and the biological interactions of macromolecules and inorganic compounds. She has published 30 peer-reviewed journal articles with a total citation count of 2500 and an H-index of 21.
