Biography

Mia Unger is a lecturer at Columbia Law School and an attorney with the Immigration Law Unit at the Legal Aid Society. She represents immigrants in removal proceedings in Immigration Court, challenging charges of removability and litigating claims for relief from removal. Additionally, Mia engages in binational advocacy between the United States and Mexico to improve access to legal services for immigrants, migrant workers, and survivors of human trafficking.
