Dr. Michael Alperovich

Biography

Michael Alperovich, MD, MSc, FACS, is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Yale School of Medicine and a Board Certified plastic surgeon specializing in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. He is the Director of the Craniofacial Surgery Program and has a clinical expertise in congenital craniofacial conditions, including cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis, and ear reconstruction. Dr. Alperovich completed his MD at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and an MSc at the University of Oxford. He has graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and completed his plastic surgery residency and craniofacial fellowship at New York University. Over the years, he has been recognized in Connecticut Magazine's 'Top Doctors' list for five consecutive years, as well as New York Magazine's 'Top Doctors' list. He has authored over 225 publications and been an invited speaker and visiting professor nationally and internationally. Dr. Alperovich is dedicated to maximizing his patients' quality of life through surgical procedures that restore and recreate appearance and function. He also actively serves on editorial boards for several plastic surgery journals, contributing to the field through peer-reviewed publications and professional discourse.
