Biography

Michael Anderson is a Professor and Instruction Director of International Relations Global Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. His academic background is rooted in history, with a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Anderson's research interests include international relations, citizen diplomacy, and Asia-Pacific regionalism. He has co-authored 'Political Economic Foundations of Global Studies' published by Routledge in 2019. Additionally, he served as an associate editor for the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of American Foreign Policy. He has been recognized with several teaching awards, including the Leslie Waggener Centennial Teaching Fellowship, for his outstanding contributions to undergraduate honors projects.
