Biography

Michael Argenziano, MD, FACS, is an accomplished cardiac surgeon and the Associate Chief of the Adult Cardiac Surgery Section at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He specializes in minimally invasive cardiac surgery and is the director of both the Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery and Surgical Arrhythmia programs. Over his career, he has published over 100 academic articles and is actively involved in leading innovative research, including national trials on robotic surgery and research on atrial fibrillation. He has received several prestigious awards and is recognized as a leader in his field, including being named one of New York Magazine's Top Doctors. Dr. Argenziano's expertise encompasses a wide range of cardiac conditions including congenital heart disease, valvular heart disease, and heart failure. He is also engaged in educating future generations of surgeons as the director of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency program.
