Dr. Michael Ault

Biography

Michael L Ault, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. He specializes in critical care medicine, with a particular focus on the cardiac surgery patient population. Dr. Ault serves as the Medical Director for the Northwestern Memorial Hospital Emergency Response Team and is engaged in systems analysis related to in-hospital resuscitation teams. He has also contributed to educational initiatives as the Clerkship Co-Director for the NUFSM ICU M4 Clerkship, where he is investigating the application of patient simulation in undergraduate medical education. His professional background includes significant training, with a BS from the University of Maryland and an MD also from the University of Maryland. Dr. Ault's postgraduate training includes an internship in Internal Medicine, residency in Anesthesiology, and fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Northwestern University. He holds board certifications in Critical Care Medicine and Anesthesiology, as well as several additional certifications in related areas.
