Biography

Michael Beazely’s lab research focuses on understanding growth factor receptors and how G protein-coupled receptors modulate ion channels and neuronal cell function. He also conducts clinical education research aimed at reducing the harms associated with problematic substance use. His research interests include growth factor signaling in the developing mature nervous system, regulation of NMDA receptors, and the role of health professionals in harm reduction related to substance use. Michael has contributed to various research fields, including Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacy Practice, Clinical Pharmacology, and Drug Discovery. He holds a Post-Doctoral Fellowship from the University of Toronto, a PhD in Pharmacology from Purdue University, and a BSc in Pharmacy from the University of Saskatchewan.
