Biography

Michael Behnan earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1976 and a Master of Science in Orthodontics from the University of Michigan in 1979. He has had a private practice in Clinton Township, Michigan for 37 years. Behnan has been a faculty member in the Graduate Orthodontic Department since 1996, where he teaches in the Standard Edgewise graduate orthodontic clinic on Tuesday afternoons. Additionally, he serves as the Director of the Summer Biomechanics Program for incoming residents and directs the Seminar in Clinical Orthodontics Course 762. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and is currently the President of the University of Michigan Orthodontic Alumni Association.
