Biography

Michael Bronstein is a DeepMind Professor at the University of Oxford and the Founding Scientific Director of the AI Aithyra Institute in Vienna. He was previously the Head of Graph Learning Research at Imperial College London and has held visiting positions at Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Harvard University. He is affiliated with the Institute for Advanced Study and has been a Fellow at TUM and at Harvard’s Radcliffe Institute. Michael received his Ph.D. from the Technion in 2007 and has been awarded the EPSRC Turing AI World Leading Research Fellowship, the Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award, and the Royal Academy of Engineering Silver Medal, among others. In addition to his academic work, he is a serial entrepreneur who has founded multiple startups, including Novafora, Invision (acquired by Intel in 2012), Videocites, and Fabula AI (acquired by Twitter in 2019).
