Dr. Michael Cusimano

Biography

Michael D. Cusimano is a Professor at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, specializing in applied clinical neurosciences. His research primarily focuses on injury research and injury prevention control, as well as medical education. Dr. Cusimano has contributed significantly to various projects aimed at understanding and mitigating the effects of brain injuries, with a specific interest in cognitive neurosurgery, traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, and brain tumors. He has extensive experience in conducting randomized controlled trials and cohort studies related to injury prevention strategies, particularly in Ontario's elementary schools.
