Biography

Michael Dabkowski is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. He earned his bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, focusing on the supercritical surface quasi-geostrophic equation. Dabkowski has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Toronto and the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor prior to joining the faculty at UM-Dearborn in Fall 2018 after serving as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Lawrence Technological University. His teaching interests are primarily in the areas of Mathematics and Actuarial Mathematics. Dabkowski's research focuses on nonlinear nonlocal partial differential equations and their applications to fluid mechanics, particle coarsening, and complex geometry.
