Biography

Michael Densmore is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of New Brunswick. He earned his PhD in Finance from the Schulich School of Business at York University in 2021. His research interests focus on asset management, investments, credit default swaps, asset pricing models, and market efficiency. Dr. Densmore has presented his research at top academic conferences such as the Finance Management Association Annual Meetings and the Midwestern Finance Association. Dr. Densmore teaches a variety of finance courses, including Theory of Finance, Investments, Financial Management, Corporate Finance, and Personal Finance across BBA and MBA programs. His research includes forthcoming papers in prestigious journals, examining topics such as growth passive indexing, smart-beta competitive effects on actively managed funds, and corporate liquidity management responses to peer credit default swaps initiation.
