Biography

Michael Philip DiLorenzo, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, specializing in pediatric cardiology. He is board-certified and focuses on non-invasive imaging techniques within the Pediatric Cardiology division. Dr. DiLorenzo completed his undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University and earned his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine. He performed his residency at Children's Hospital Montefiore in Bronx, NY, and completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at Children's Hospital Philadelphia, specializing in non-invasive imaging. Additionally, he obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, supported by a T32 research training grant. As a co-director of the Pediatric Comprehensive Marfan Clinic, his research interests center around non-invasive markers of right ventricular structure and function in patients with congenital heart disease. He is engaged in both clinical and academic aspects of pediatric cardiology, receiving accolades such as the Leo M. Davidoff Society Outstanding Teaching of Medical Students award in June 2013 and the resident teaching award from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in June 2011 and June 2013.
