Biography

Michael Do is a Professor of Practice in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Texas A&M University, where he also serves as the Director of the Capstone Partnership Program. With a comprehensive educational background, he holds a Ph.D. in Mining Systems Engineering from the University of Arizona and multiple advanced degrees in related fields, including an M.S.S. in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College. His professional practices encompass the complexities of engineering systems and the interactions within them. Do's research interests include Complex Systems, Complex Adaptive Systems, Systems Science, Cyber Physical Infrastructure Systems, Autonomous Systems, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science. He is also recognized for his expertise in Systems Engineering and holds several professional certifications, including Systems Engineering Professional and Project Management Professional. His contributions to the field have been acknowledged through various honors, such as being named a RAND Army Research Fellow and for holding a patent on fluid transfer methods. Active in academia, he is committed to advancing the field through practical applications and innovative teaching methods.
