Biography

Michael Franklin is the Morton D. Hull Distinguished Service Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chicago. He serves as a Senior Advisor to the Provost and Co-Director of the Data Science Institute. Franklin was previously a faculty member at the University of California, Berkeley, where he held the Thomas M. Siebel Chair in Computer Science and served as the Chair of the Computer Science Division.
