Michael Garnett received his BA and MPhil in Philosophy from Cambridge University and completed his PhD at the University of Toronto. He had a brief stint as a College Lecturer at Wadham College, Oxford, and subsequently lectured at Birkbeck College, before joining King's College London in 2023. His research interests encompass a variety of issues related to freedom, autonomy, coercion, manipulation, indoctrination, ideology, and oppression.
