Dr. Michael Garrison

Biography

Michael L. Garrison is a registered architect and professor at the University of Texas at Austin in the School of Architecture. His academic focus includes advanced design, environmental controls, and solar design, contributing significantly to the field through research and practical applications. Garrison has served as the faculty sponsor for the Solar Decathlon competitions from 2002 to 2005, running these events under the administration of the U.S. Department of Energy, and was co-investigator for the 2007 team. His research has garnered numerous grants and awards from prestigious organizations such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, National Renewable Energy Lab, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and many others.
