Biography

Dr. Michael Gevertzman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine at Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science and Sports Studies from Rutgers University and obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, focusing his research on the interplay of mobility and cognitive functions in relation to Parkinson's disease. Dr. Gevertzman has presented his research at both national and international conferences and clinically emphasizes working with individuals suffering from neurological disorders, especially neurodegenerative diseases. He is a Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist and a Multiple Sclerosis Certified Specialist. Dr. Gevertzman holds additional certifications in LSVT BIG for Parkinson's disease and Vestibular Rehabilitation. He is passionate about interdisciplinary patient care and actively works as a clinician in the Multiple Sclerosis Interdisciplinary Wellness Clinical team at CUIMC.
