Biography

Michael P. Goldman is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Yale School of Medicine and an attending physician in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital. His scholarly pursuits stem from a passion for medical education and a deep interest in quality improvement science. Dr. Goldman focuses on designing interventions to improve system delivery of care in pediatric emergency medicine and exploring ways to develop educational strategies for both staff and trainees. He has held leadership roles in medical education, including in pediatric emergency medicine fellowship and pediatric residency programs. Prior to his career in medicine, he was a special education teacher and completed his medical training at New York University School of Medicine followed by a Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital. His research interests include medical decision making and enhancing procedural training in pediatric settings. He is dedicated to making the emergency department a safer and more supportive environment for children and their families.
