Michael is an executive leader, lawyer, and educator passionate about the responsible handling of data and adoption of innovative technologies. As General Counsel at Intellectual Property Ontario, Michael’s focus is enhancing access to IP services and guiding initiatives to empower Ontario’s innovators. Alongside this role, as an instructor at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law and Queen's Law, he fosters the next generation of legal minds in data science, AI, regulatory law, and professional ethics. Michael is inspired by LASL’s ambitious goal of creating career-ready, innovative, adaptable, technologically-savvy, and socially conscious lawyers.
