Biography

Michael Johnson is a University Lecturer at the Beedie School of Business of Simon Fraser University, specializing in Technology Operations Management and Innovation Entrepreneurship. In 2011, he received the Canada Trust Excellence in Teaching Award for his dedication to education. Before joining the Beedie School, Michael spent ten years teaching in the Operations Management program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). Prior to earning his Ph.D., he gained valuable experience as an engineer, focusing on improving productivity and operational workflows in high-tech and automotive industries. Michael has also consulted on numerous industry-research projects, particularly in areas related to operations research and management science. His research interests include Business Analytics, Operations Research, Infodemiology/Infoveillance, and Extended Producer Responsibility.
