Biography

Michael Jones-Correa is the President’s Distinguished Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania. He graduated with a PhD from Princeton University and has extensively contributed to the fields of inter-ethnic contact, coalition-building, immigrant incorporation, naturalization, political mobilization, and Latino politics. He has served as the founding director of the Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity, and Immigration (CSERI) at the University of Pennsylvania, and has held various prominent roles including vice president of the American Political Science Association. His notable research projects since 2012 include the Latino Immigrant National Election Study and the Philadelphia-Atlanta Project, with funding from prestigious foundations such as Carnegie and Ford. Jones-Correa has previously taught at Harvard and Cornell universities and has been involved with various academic boards and committees.
