Dr. Michael Kahn

Biography

Michael Kahn is a lecturer in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University Health Network and Toronto General Hospital. He is an expert in anesthesiology with a focus on perioperative care and optimization. His clinical interests include minimizing acute perioperative pain through regional anesthesia techniques to prevent the development of post-operative chronic pain. Kahn is also interested in the role of perioperative echocardiography, particularly in resuscitation scenarios. He has had the opportunity to train in cardiothoracic anesthesia, echocardiography, critical care medicine, and interventional chronic pain management. His dedication to improving patient outcomes in the perioperative setting is evident in his research and teaching.
