Michael Kaplan is a Lamont Research Professor at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, part of the Columbia Climate School. He earned his B.A. summa cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1992, an M.Sc. from the University of Maine-Orono, and a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado-Boulder.
