Michael Leach is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Law and Governance at Tilburg Law School. He received his PhD (cum laude) from Tilburg Law School in September 2021, with a doctoral thesis entitled 'A Kaleidoscope Meaning Fragments: Understanding Rule Law's Paradoxes in International Development.' His research interests focus on the Anthropocene, climate change law, development, systems, interdisciplinarity, and qualitative empirical methods. Currently, he teaches in the Global Law bachelor's program, co-teaches Introduction to Global Law, coordinates the Introduction to Global Law II course, and supervises master's theses in the LLM program in International Law and Global Governance. In December 2022, he was appointed Head of Teaching for the Department of Public Law and Governance at Tilburg University.
