Biography

Dr. Michael Leapman specializes in urologic oncology with a focus on prostate, bladder, testicular, and kidney cancers. After earning his BA in Neurobiology and Behavior from Cornell University, he received his MD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Since joining Yale School of Medicine in 2016, he has contributed significantly to the field, especially in the area of prostate cancer treatments and their underlying gene expression signatures that predict disease aggressiveness. Dr. Leapman is actively involved in teaching, research, and providing comprehensive care for patients at the Yale Cancer Center and West Haven VA. His research interests include healthcare delivery, health services research, and various urologic diseases.
