Biography

Michael Mann is the Presidential Distinguished Professor and Director of the Penn Center for Science, Sustainability, and the Media at the University of Pennsylvania. His research specializes in climate science and climate change. Mann has been recognized as one of the fifty leading visionaries in science and technology by Scientific American in 2002 and was awarded the Hans Oeschger Medal by the European Geophysical Union in 2012. He is a fellow of several scientific organizations and is a co-founder of RealClimate.org, with over 200 peer-reviewed publications and multiple books including 'Dire Predictions' and 'The New Climate War.'
