Biography

Professor Metzger serves as a Lecturer faculty member of the University of Michigan Ross School of Business in the Department of Marketing. He has taught graduate-level courses in Marketing Management, International Marketing, Strategic Marketing, and Product Brand Management, along with International Multidisciplinary Consulting Projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. He is a Faculty Associate at the University of Michigan Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Professor Metzger has served as Academic Director for international exchange programs with INCAE Business School and collaborated with institutions including UCLA Anderson School of Management, Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business, and Cranfield School of Management. He has nearly 20 years of teaching experience at INCAE Business School in Costa Rica, offering courses in Marketing Management, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Research, Digital Marketing, and Services Marketing in both Spanish and English. With over twenty years of experience in graduate-level teaching in business economics programs at top business schools across North and South America, he has supervised multidisciplinary action learning projects across a variety of industries including agribusiness, construction, financial services, software, sustainable energy, and tourism. His dissertation focused on University Technology Transfer and Organized Research Units, leading to the creation of spin-off startups involving equity stakes and licensing agreements with business partners.
