Biography

Michael Norlind received artistic training from Sören Larsson and Jerzy Grotowski in Wroclaw, and he continued to work with physical theater through his project ‘Kroppens poesi’ (poetry body). He runs Scenstudion Gerlesborg, a meeting place and platform that investigates the expressive possibilities of theater. As an artistic director of Gerlesborg's theater laboratory, Norlind focuses on creating conditions for poetry to arise through the method ‘Scenkonstens hantverk och poesi’ ('Crafts poetry performing art'). He is a senior lecturer in the Department of Music and Drama at the University of Gothenburg, where he teaches acting with a focus on movement and physical appearance.
