Michael E Odijie is an Associate Professor of History at St Antony's College, University of Oxford. His research focuses on a range of historical and contemporary themes primarily concerning West Africa. He has a joint appointment at the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies and the Faculty of History. His work investigates the local networks against slavery, labor exploitation, and the cocoa value chain, also analyzing EU-Africa relations and the politics of development.
