Biography

Michael Ortiz is a Frank Ora Lee Marble Professor of Aeronautics and Mechanical Engineering, Emeritus at Caltech. He completed his B.S. at Polytechnic University of Madrid in 1977, followed by an M.S. at the University of California in 1978 and a Ph.D. in 1982. Since 2020, he has held the title of Marble Professor, Emeritus.
