Dr. Michael Parsons is an Associate Professor in Emergency Medicine, cross-appointed to Family Medicine, at Memorial University of Newfoundland. He completed his MD at Memorial University in 2004 and a residency in Family Medicine in 2006. He is known for his work in simulation-based medical education and Point of Care Ultrasound training. Dr. Parsons is also a Master Instructor for the PoCUS program and has been actively teaching interdisciplinary skills to residents and medical students. His research interests include mobile tele-simulation, remote mentoring, and educational methodologies within emergency medicine. Dr. Parsons's contributions have been recognized through various awards, including the Emerging Investigator Award at the 2016 RCPSC Simulation Summit.
