Dr. Michael Pustilnik

Biography

Michael Pustilnik is an Associate Professor in the School of Physics at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He earned his Ph.D. from Bar-Ilan University in 1997. His research focuses on transport correlations in low-dimensional quantum systems, exploring quantum criticality and resonant Andreev conduction, among other significant topics related to one-dimensional quantum liquids and Bose gas dynamics. Pustilnik has contributed to various esteemed publications in the field, consistently investigating the nuances of low-energy excitations within quantum contexts. His rigorous approach includes studies on the Kondo effect in quantum dots, phase transitions involving spin-charge separation, and the dynamics of excitations in one-dimensional Bose liquids. With over a decade of influential research, he is recognized for his valuable contributions to the understanding of complex quantum systems. Pustilnik is involved in various academic activities, mentoring students and collaborating with fellow researchers to advance knowledge in theoretical physics.
