Professor Dr. Michael Sandborg

Biography

Michael Sandborg's research focuses on finding optimal X-ray imaging techniques in health care. He develops methods to measure patient doses and quality of radiographic images in collaboration with health care professionals. His research interests encompass radiation dosimetry, radiology, radiological interventions, optimisation of radiological examinations, image quality, patient doses, and quantitative computed tomography for accurate radiotherapy. He also has a strong commitment to teaching medical radiation physics and radiological protection to students in medical and biomedical engineering at Linköping University and engaged in supervising PhD students, medical physicists, and biomedical engineers in their professional training.
