Biography

Michael Sartor is an Associate Professor and Distinguished Research Teaching Fellow at the Smith School of Business, Queen’s University. His research and teaching focus on international business and global strategy, particularly the effects of corruption on multinational enterprises and their performance. Sartor’s work has been published in top-tier journals including the Journal of International Business Studies and the Journal of Business Ethics. He has received numerous accolades for his research, including the AIB Doctoral Dissertation Award and the GWU-CIBER Paper on Emerging Markets. Prior to joining Queen’s University, he served as an Adjunct Research Professor at Ivey Business School, Western University. Sartor holds a PhD in International Business from Ivey Business School, along with an MBA and a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University. He has extensive industry experience working as corporate legal counsel and in executive capacities in various sectors. His teaching includes Global Business Strategy in both the Executive MBA Program and the National Project of Queen’s Executive MBA program, where he has been recognized as Professor of the Year.
