Biography

Michael H. Schill is the Harry N. Wyatt Professor Emeritus of Law at the University of Chicago Law School, where he served as Dean from 2010 to June 2015 before becoming President of the University of Oregon. Schill joined the University of Chicago in 2010 after serving as Dean of the UCLA School of Law from 2004 to 2009. His extensive academic career has included tenured positions at New York University and the University of Pennsylvania, where he focused on Property Law and Urban Planning. He is a nationally recognized expert in property, real estate, and housing law policy, authoring or co-authoring 40 scholarly articles and leading the Furman Center for Real Estate and Urban Policy at NYU. He graduated with an AB in Public Policy from Princeton University and a JD from Yale Law School.
