Michael Strong is a Distinguished University Professor in the Department of Clinical Neurological Sciences at Western University. He has served as President of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research from 2018 to 2023 and previously as Dean of the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University. His research interests include understanding the pathogenesis of ALS, the role of altered RNA metabolism in disease genesis, and the involvement of altered tau metabolism in frontotemporal spectrum disorders associated with ALS.
