Biography

Michael Tully is an Adjunct Professor at the Leventhal School of Accounting, University of Southern California. He has over 30 years of experience in 'Big-4' valuation, mergers and acquisitions, and financial tax accounting. Prior to his academic role, he was a partner at WilliamsMarston, a valuation and accounting advisory boutique. He spent four years at KPMG as a Partner/Principal leading the Pacific Southwest Valuation Services group and held similar positions at Ernst & Young's Transaction Advisory Services group. Tully was also a Valuation Fellow at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), focusing on fair value, business combinations, and goodwill impairment issues. He has been involved in significant transactions across numerous companies and industries, including technology, engineering, aerospace, consumer products, and healthcare. He provides valuation opinions for various purposes, including financial and tax reporting, mergers and acquisitions, and business modeling. Tully holds the CFA designation and is an Accredited Senior Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers, as well as a Certified Entity Intangible Valuator from the AICPA.
