Professor Dr. Michael Wilkinson

Biography

Mike Wilkinson is a Professor of Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He studied at University College London and the College of Europe in Bruges, completing his PhD at the European University Institute in Florence. Prior to joining LSE in 2007, he was a lecturer at Manchester University and a Fulbright Research Fellow at Columbia University, New York. He has taught as an adjunct professor at Cornell University and has also been a visiting professor at Université Panthéon-Assas in Paris, the National University of Singapore, and Keio University in Tokyo. His research interests include European Integration, Constitutional Theory, and Legal and Political Social Theory, with an emphasis on material constitution and its relevance in contemporary contexts. He has published extensively in the field and his notable works include 'The Cambridge Handbook on the Material Constitution' and 'Authoritarian Liberalism and the Transformation of Modern Europe'.
