Dr. Michael Witt

Biography

Michael Witt is a Professor of International Business Strategy at King's Business School, King's College London. He holds a PhD and MA from Harvard University and an AB from Stanford University. He is a Fellow of the Academy of International Business. Michael is an expert in the institutional geopolitical context of international business, with current research focusing on the contextual phenomena and their organizational strategic implications, such as de-globalization, geopolitics, and varieties of capitalism. His methodological approaches include configurational methods and fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis. Michael has published five major books and numerous articles in leading scholarly journals including Administrative Science Quarterly and Strategic Management Journal. He serves on editorial boards for multiple international business management journals and is the Editor-in-Chief of Asian Business & Management. Michael has received several prestigious awards including the Humboldt Fellowship and has lived in various countries including China, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and the United States. He previously spent over 20 years at INSEAD, where he taught in MBA and executive development programs and received multiple teaching awards.
