Biography

Michael A Woods is an associate professor in the Interventional Radiology Section at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he also completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology since 2013. Dr. Woods completed his fellowship training in Vascular Interventional Radiology at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in 2014 and has since been a faculty member, joining in 2014. His clinical research interests focus on minimally invasive interventional oncologic treatments and include transradial arterial access, visceral pelvic angiography, uterine fibroid embolization, image-guided tumor ablation, and hepatobiliary interventions. He is also passionate about resident education and has received a fellow teaching award for his contributions in this area. In addition to his professional work, Dr. Woods enjoys spending time with his family and following Wisconsin sports such as the Badgers, Packers, and Brewers, as well as playing rugby.
