Michael Yang obtained his MD from the University of British Columbia, graduating from medical school in 2014. He is a leading developer of the Enhanced Recovery Surgery (ERAS) program in Calgary, which aims to improve postoperative outcomes in spinal and cranial neurosurgery. As a member of the Enhanced Recovery Surgery Society, he has been instrumental in the development of ERAS guidelines for lumbar fusion surgery. His research interests include optimizing peri-operative outcomes and improving acute pain control in spinal surgery, and his work has garnered numerous international accolades and awards.
