Biography

Michal Kreps is a researcher in experimental measurements concerning hadrons that contain charm and bottom quarks. His primary research interests include CP violation, rare decays, and the spectroscopy of heavy quark hadrons. Michal pursued research from 2004 to 2010 at the CDF experiment at the Tevatron accelerator, located at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. Following this, he transitioned to work on the LHCb experiment at CERN's LHC accelerator. His substantial contributions during his tenure at CDF involved B s mixing frequency, CP violation in B s → J/ψφ decays, and the study of orbitally excited B 0 and B s 0 mesons, including properties of the X(3872) particle. Since January 2011, he has been involved with the maintenance of the EvtGen code package, which is utilized for simulating decays of b-, c-, and hadrons, and he is a regular member of the particle data group, contributing to the Review of Particle Physics.
